Weathered Old And scarring The life Of The metal Once sharp And full of Force
Is now Feeling the Effects Of aging And compression
In a life full of Opportunities Gratefully Declined Over subjective Options Altering states And Changing atmospheres
A few years Down the road Like an old Car The cover The paint job Wears And tears Fades And chips Down to the Metal All that’s Left The mainframe That supports Keeps Leverage In things In life
But as the Rain The Hardships Or the Drugs Take effect
The metal The mainframe The leverage Once strong Wears down And Discolors Turning To rust Before Decimating To nothing
A life Once Celebrated Now Only a thought Of how strong It used To be Now it’s Just Rusted And Useless
I want to believe That you were And still are Right for me
When I close my eyes Part of me tries And wishes For you Things were not Supposed To work out And even though You still have doubt I still believe Believe That you won’t leave Me
And I try Try for you Through and through I’d never leave you
I’m pushing Until we reach The spring That things Get better Because I wrote It in a letter To you
I hope you Get it In time So one day You can be mine Then the world Will be fine
But until then I hope to see you Again
And maybe you’ll See me See that I hold The key The key to you And me
