A Second That Lasts A Lifetime
A Second That Lasts a Lifetime
The seconds that last a lifetime
Are the seconds I spend with you
And it’s all the seconds added up
That makes the lifetime
A second that lasts a lifetime
Is when I’m holding you tight
And I feel as if nothing could happen
To either of us as long as you’re in my arms
A second that lasts a lifetime
Is doing the little things that count
Even though they go unnoticed
They are all full of meaning
A second that lasts a lifetime
Is when I gaze into your eyes
And see everything I am
And everything I want to be
A second that lasts a lifetime
Is right before my hand lets go of yours
As we depart for the day
Only to see each other soon again
So a second that lasts a lifetime
Is right here and right now
And as each second of this lifetime passes
I’m glad these seconds were spent with you
