Red Eye Love
Red Eye Love
And it's been
That kind of
A week
When you look
At your watch
Only to realize
Your an hour ahead
When you really
Forgot
About day light
Savings time
Sitting
In the airport
One of many
Enough
To count
On fingers
And toes
As if
A girl in
Each city
Is feasible
But who has
Time these
Days
On time or
Delayed
The Flight times
Flash up
Home
Home is here
The airport
Rather the
Real home
Is not
A home
Merely
A hotel
To sleep until
You
Leave in the
Morning
Family ties
Become
Untied
Strengthened
Broken
In
Transatlantic flights
Paris
London
Business calls
More stamps in
My passport
Currencies
Carried
As if
Badges of
Honor
Held
The heads
Of Kings and
Queens
First class
Extra leg room
and Liquor bottles
Medicated
Feelings
And trapped emotions
The whole
Time fighting
The man
Or just the
Jet stream
Crowds
And security
To get back
Only if
For a few hours
To her
Until
Business
Calls
The next
Red eye
out

Gives me a warm feeling when I read this. My life as it was last year
