Cigarette Smoke

Cigarette Smoke

There's no more
Cigarette smoke
To exhale
For the cigarettes
My cigarettes
I ran out

My last one
To her
And for why
Because I
Don't smoke

Just carry
Them around
As if
A lucky
Rabbits foot
Protection
Against evil

But her
How she
Smokes
Ever so smoothly
For I'd
Certainly
Cough up
Tar
Dust

And the sip
Of her
PBR
In between
Breaths

As if
Savoring
The last
Few moments
 Of her life
I watched
Intently

But as
She finished
Ashed
The sunrise
Rose
Lighting up
A new
Day

One I hope
That doesn't
Burn out
