But to watch it slip
Away like grasping for ice
Constantly slipping away
Watch it fade
Away
Down the drain
Until the last drop
Of hope

Disappears
That separated life
Love
To be loved
And everything
Horrible
Fear
Back to an empty tub
Just plain
Slippery ice
Hopelessness
Emptiness
Alone
A badge worn
Before with pride

Now worn
Only in shame

Perfect
Solid
